Orbital Tech is the sole supplier for Australia and New Zealand of GEM Orbital polishers and associated products and distributor of the GEM sander/Polisher.
Within Australia, Orbital Tech operates fixed shipping charges for standard orders however we reserve the right to alter shipping charges for large, heavy or bulky items or for customers located in remote parts of Australia.
We pride ourselves on shipping orders quickly. Once payment has been processed, your order will be shipped to you via Australia Post, you will be advised of the tracking number upon dispatch. Orders will be dispatched each week on Wednesdays, (excluding public holidays).
Expedited shipping is available by special arrangement and extra charges may apply. Please Contact Us to discuss if your order is needed urgently.
Unforunately due to Covid 19, shipping to all parts of Australia is currently taking longer than usual, please contact us to find out approximate shipping times to your state.
For most locations within Australia you should expect to receive your order within 5 business days, although 2-3 days is more common. Orders to Western Australia and remote locations could take longer.
Customers in New Zealand should expect to receive their order in 7-10 business days, subject to customs clearance. Note that some locations may take longer.
All orders are sent with tracking details and you will be emailed this information when your order is dispatched. Please contact us if your order is not received in a reasonable timeframe for us to investigate directly with the freight company.
Deliveries of large, bulky or heavy orders may be subject to additional freight charges. We will contact you prior to dispatching your order if necessary for the payment of any additional shipping fees, or a full refund if you choose not to proceed.
Deliveries to non-metropolitan locations within Australia may be subject to additional freight charges. We will contact you prior to dispatching your order for the payment of any additional fees if applicable. You may elect to cancel your order and to receive a full refund if you choose not to proceed.
Orbital Tech uses the services of Australia Post for all shipping. Freight is charged based on fixed shipping fees, subject to the physical size and weight your order, and the shipping destination.
All deliveries are subject to Australia Post standard shipping terms.
The Customer shall inspect the Goods on delivery and shall within seven (7) days of delivery notify Orbital Tech of any alleged defect, shortage in quantity, damage or failure to comply with the product order. The Customer shall afford Orbital Tech an opportunity to inspect the Goods within a reasonable time following delivery if the Customer believes the Goods are defective in any way. If the Customer shall fail to comply with these provisions the Goods shall be presumed to be free from any defect or damage.
Where Orbital Tech has been notified of any alleged defect or damage, Orbital Tech will arrange to have the goods returned for inspection (at Orbital Tech’s expense) and within seven (7) days of receipt of returned goods notify The Customer of the outcome of the inspection.
For defective Goods, which Orbital Tech has agreed in writing that the Customer is entitled to reject, Orbital Tech’s liability is limited to either (at Orbital Tech’s discretion) replacing the Goods or repairing the Goods except where the Customer has acquired Goods as a consumer within the meaning of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (CWlth) or the Fair Trading Acts of the relevant state or territories of Australia, and is therefore also entitled to, at the consumer's discretion either a refund of the purchase price of the Goods, or repair of the Goods, or replacement of the Goods.
Where replacement or repair of goods is determined, Orbital Tech shall bear the cost of any associated labour charges, and/or any shipping fees for replacing any defective Goods.
Orbital Tech will not be liable for Goods which have not been stored or used in a proper manner, including but not limited to:
- Products where repairs have been made or attempted by others;
- Products where repairs are required because of normal wear and tear;
- Products that have been abused, misused or improperly maintained;
- Products that have had alternations made to them in some way.
In all instances please Contact Us with your order number and details about the product you would like to return. We will respond quickly with instructions for how to return items from your order.
Products can be returned for exchange/credit voucher within 30 days of receipt, or a full refund within 7 days of receipt. Goods must be in new condition and in original packaging. Goods will be inspected on return and refunds or credit for exchange processed within 7 days. Costs for shipping the goods to you will not be refunded, and these may be higher than was charged on the original invoice.
The Customer will be responsible for the delivery charges associated with returning the exchanged item to us.
You should receive your refund within five working days of us receiving your returned items. Note that refunds will be credited to your credit card or Paypal account depending on your original payment method.
